Gujarat Maritime Cluster (GMC) - a project by Gujarat Ports Infrastructure and Development Company (GPIDCL) - a 100% subsidiary of Gujarat Maritime Board (GMB), the statutory maritime regulator for all the non major ports (except Kandla) as well as shipping activities in the state, is a membership organisation that is established for promoting the regional / national maritime sector and provide a global recognition to the nation’s maritime sector.

In connection with operating the organisation and making accessible its services and data, Gujarat Maritime Cluster collects and handles certain Personal Data.

The data collected in the membership form is mandatory to provide membership to an entity or individual. If you are an applicant for membership and you do not wish your contact details to be included on our membership database and directory, we will be unable to process your membership application.

To maintain an online directory of our members, which contains only our members’ name, profile (viz. nature of business / services offerings) and contact details, and this is made available to all members on maritimecluster.org.

We store your personal data when you attend any of our forums and marketing events and/or register an interest in receiving more information about the shipping market and shipping companies.

We may also hold the following additional information that you provide to us:

  • Areas of specific maritime interest
  • Photography of event attendees is normal practice, and these may later be published
  • Details relevant to your attendance at an event

As part of the normal services of the cluster operation, we disclose information about you to the following parties which may include your Personal Data:

  • Other members, who will be able to see your contact information in the online directory of members is used internally by our membership teams and marketing teams; and
  • Business partners and third-party service providers, who may assist us in operating our website, partner with us in organising events and undertaking other activities on our behalf; and
  • In addition, in response to any statutory request, it may become necessary to share your Personal Data with law enforcement authorities or government institutions on any such occurrences.
